Tim 12th July 2020

I met Tim spring 1993 when I started a three month work experience with his mum Ray. I then lived with Tim and his family for a year while studying at Grimsby College. At the time Tim was studying for his GCSEs, though his focus was more on girls and cars! We got quite close and he was always like a younger brother. I remember when Tim called his dad needing help, after writing off his mum’s car. Let’s just say he needed some moral support! Our kids always refer to him as funny Tim. Funny Tim he was with a joke and an amusing story to tell. He was optimistic and happy. He will never be forgotten. I will truly miss you. I first met Penfold as we affectionally knew him on the back row of a cathedral choir sandwiched between a Chippie and other tenors. We developed our friendship on many cathedral courses. He culinary skills were legendary at the Canterbury course were he cooked a full English most mornings. He put me in contact with Trudie when I first moved to Nottingham. We continued singing throughout the years and meeting up at Christmas when Tim would tease our kids. I won’t forgot you and the mischief we got up to during our time together on Decani.
