The first time I met Tim was when Katy and I went to visit Jane in Sunderland. He picked us up from the train station, cooked our meals, was our taxi driver for the weekend and was even sent to put money on the electricity meter when it ran out early one morning! Katy and I were concerned that Jane needed to tone down her requests or she was going to get dumped! Clearly we were wrong to worry and it was obvious that Jane and Tim were made for each other. Over the years we have enjoyed meals out, weekends away, BBQs, pub crawls, day trips out and several weddings - many happy times shared and memories to treasure. Tim will be remembered fondly by my children Noah and Cora for his magic tricks. Wherever we went Tim always had a magic trick to show them and they were fascinated. Thank you Tim for keeping them entertained and giving me 5 minutes peace! Jane and Tim once called round to our house unexpectedly; Noah was outside with his bike and he told Tim it was broken. Straight away Tim was on his hands and knees trying to find the problem, but it turned out we needed a new part - he told us what to get and where from. Shortly after they left, Tim returned with the new part, fixed it straight away and refused any money for the part. Just one of many examples of how kind, caring and considerate Tim was, nothing was ever too much trouble. He will be greatly missed and our group of ‘Otley friends’ will never be the same. Rest in peace Tim, you will never be forgotten ❤️ Becky xxx
