Most of all when we think of Tim we think of kindness. In Sunderland when Jane,Andy,Tom and I were working on yet another piece of “group” work during a late night in the library you would arrive with supplies of food and a flask for Jane. I am pretty sure that you are still better than any of us at pharmacy - they could easily have given you an honorary degree. I remember so much excitement in the build up to your wedding. Jane and I went round all the supermarkets buying up limoncello for the favours then we all spent hours sticking lace on the glass vases. Jane worked so hard to make sure it was a perfect day for everyone and it really was.I remember standing at the altar with you both in Ripon Cathedral. As you took your vows I looked up and there was a beautiful ray of sunshine coming through the high windows. I remember feeling I had never met a couple who were so in love - I was so honoured to be your bridesmaid. You did a great job of your first dance - all those lessons were definitely worth it! My best friend could not possibly have found a better husband. We remember so many happy times with you. Coming home from the pharmacy ball I climbed on your back, we were both so drunk I fell off pretty quickly then next thing I remember us both lying on our backs in the middle of the main road. I had a pretty swollen black ankle the next day. I think you introduced Sim to a few whiskies that night too! I have lost count of how many meals you have cooked for me. Coming over to your house has always been a treat especially for your signature bolognese and a lemon posset pudding. You have both been there to listen and support me for so many years in good times and bad. I am truly grateful. We had a brilliant New Years Eve playing the train game - I think maybe you had made me too many mojitos as I was a bit hungover the next day! When we had Arlen you were some of his first visitors. Even with tiny babies you are the ultimate children’s entertainer especially with your humming. Just a few months ago he was totally transfixed by Uncle Tim, his paper bag tricks and his new pet dog. We all laughed so much! I’m so sad that you have been taken too soon and I promise I’ll do everything I can to support Jane. You have set such an incredible example to us all in your attitude and approach to life, really teaching us all to embrace every opportunity. We will try our best to make you proud. You are loved very much and we will miss you terribly. Sarah xxx
